As part of the faculty, a bridge crane demonstrator will be made for students. The trolley with the load is moved along the rail with a toothed belt, and an electric motor, as a drive unit, which is mounted on the table or on the wall. It was necessary to develop different power transmission concepts for different electric motor layouts. Power transmission should be based on belt or chain drives and shafts. It was important that as many components as possible are standard machine elements and easy to assemble.
A morphological matrix was used to develop the concepts, and then all the machine elements were dimensioned to the case in question. The method of selection and evaluation of standard machine elements is shown in the final thesis.
