The main topic of the master's thesis are Feri Lainšček's radio plays. In the theoretical part of the thesis, radio is defined as a medium and its only original artistic genre, i.e. radio play. This is followed by an overview and definition of the basic sound elements of radio plays – speech, music, noise and silence. In the main part of the thesis, 16 radio plays are analysed, with the main focus on the search for characteristic elements of Lainšček's poetics. The interpretation of the selected radio plays is based on radio play theory, which is endorsed by Slovenian radio play theorists such as Rosanda Sajko, Lučka Gruden and Aleš Jan, and foreign theorists, namely Andrew Cristell, Tim Crook, Querido and Hans Vilmar Geppert.
