This work represents the analysis of aircrafts with vertical takeoff and landing. The introductory part is dedicated to a brief summary of the history and development of the selected aircraft type, as well as an introduction to the most common types of propulsion system that enable vertical takeoff or landing. We conducted a simplified comparative performance calculation with a prototype aircraft, where we mainly focused on comparing suitability of selected powertrain system stated by the aircraft manufacturer. It turned out that for vertical flight purposes, according to our calculation, the powertrain is appropriate. However, for horizontal flight, as the altitude approached the maximum prescribed altitude, there was a slight deviation between the required and available power.
