Digital printing technology, electrophotography is presented in the thesis. The aforementioned technology is often present in graphic design companies today. In the theoretical part, the basic operation of the technology, its development and its advantages and disadvantages are presented. The operation of the electrophotographic machine on which the experimental part of the Xerox Versant 280 Press was carried out and the process carried out during printing are explained in more detail. The process is explained in more detail with a brief description of the six successive steps that allow an impression to be made on the printing material. The hardware used in the experimental work is described in more detail and presented with specifications.
In the experimental part, test forms were selected for monitoring print quality with test elements that can show the weaknesses or shortcomings of electrophotographic printing. The test forms were first printed, then scanned so that visual analysis could be performed. The visual analysis was done in the Adobe Photoshop program, in which all proposals were compared with each other. Optical density measurements and spectrophotometric measurements were performed on the prints, on the basis of which gradation curves and color ranges were drawn.
