Abstract
Magistrsko delo rešuje problematiko poškodb sluha zaradi izpostavljenosti zvoku visoke jakosti. Taka izpostavljenost lahko povzroči neozdravljiva slušna obolenja, ki imajo lahko negativne fizične in psihične posledice. Raziskava je pokazala, da je problematika močno prisotna predvsem med mladostniki, ki obiskujejo nočne klube in glasne koncerte, kjer se pojavljajo zelo visoke jakosti zvoka. Čeprav obstajajo določene metode zaščite, zaradi različnih razlogov pogosto niso v uporabi in zato ne rešujejo problematike v zadostni meri. Z namenom reševanja te problematike je bila oblikovana mobilna aplikacija za monitoring izpostavljenosti. Aplikacija spremlja ravni glasnosti okolja in opozarja uporabnika o nevarnosti ter mu predlaga načine, kako poškodbe preprečiti. Prav tako mu omogoča vpogled v zgodovino izpostavljenosti in na ta način povečuje zavedanje o tveganjih. Cilj je spodbujati pozitivne spremembe v uporabnikovih navadah ter s tem preprečiti poškodbe in izboljšati kakovost življenja. Rezultat magistrskega dela so oblikovan koncept mobilne aplikacije in razvit vizualni prototip ter načrt vstopa na trg.

Title:Application for the prevention of hearing damage caused by loud noise exposure
Abstract:
The master’s thesis tackles the problem of hearing damage caused by exposure to loud noise. Such exposure can cause incurable hearing disorders, which can have negative physical and psychological consequences. It is particularly prevalent among young people who attend nightclubs and loud concerts where very high sound levels occur. Although certain methods of protection are available on the market, they are often not used for various reasons and therefore fall short of solving the problem sufficiently. A mobile application was developed in order to solve this problem. It monitors the volume levels of the environment, warns the user of danger, and suggests preventive measures. It also gives the user insight into the history of exposure, increasing risk awareness. The goal is to encourage positive changes in the user’s habits, prevent injury, and improve the quality of life. The end result of the master’s thesis is a mobile application concept and a developed visual prototype, as well as a market entry plan.
