The diploma thesis examined how effective and qualitative the broadcasting is in the different areas covered by Primorski val radio station and in what ways the listeners follow the radio programme. It also analysed when and for how long people listen to the radio and what they are satisfied with. The results of the analysis showed what attracts the listeners, their purpose of listening and how satisfied they are with the transmission options as well as the content itself.
In order to carry out the survey analysis, the diploma thesis was divided into two parts - theoretical and experimental. The theoretical part presents the characteristics of the radio station, which are important for understanding of its operation and the transmission of signals for carrying out communication. The essential characteristics of Primorski val radio station were presented in the introduction of the research, and on the basis of these, an analysis was carried out by means of an online survey in which the radio listeners participated.
Based on the results of the survey, it turned out that the listeners spend most of their time listening to the radio while driving and via their home radio receiver. The highest listening rates are in the morning and the lowest in the evening and at night. They are satisfied with the content, especially with the local content and the music choice, but are least interested in politics and general news. The radio programme is listened to for relaxation and entertainment as well as for important information. They are generally satisfied with the sound quality and the reception of the signal in the broadcasting area. The biggest problems pointed out by the listeners are the over-riding of Italian radio stations and certain parts of the coverage area where reception is poorer or the radio is inaudible.
