The diploma thesis represents the development of a prototype mobile application called Financial Assistant that simplifies the recording and analysis of personal finances for users with less technical knowledge. There are already many applications on the market that allow for the recording and analysis of personal finances, but they are not adapted to users with less technical knowledge. Most users want a simple and intuitive user interface, easy input of income and expenses, and a beautiful and easy-to-understand graphical representation of the entered data. We developed the application using the Android Studio tool in the Java programming language. The application uses a SQLite database to store data, which runs locally on the user's device. The final product is a prototype mobile application that runs on the Android platform and has an adapted user experience for users with less technical knowledge. With it, users simplify the recording and analysis of personal finances and thus, they have an easier time understanding how and what they spend their money on.
