In the theoretical part of the thesis, we first presented creativity in the general and Kindergarten Curriculum in which music is included in the field of art. In the following, we presented music education and recorded the musical development of children in the preschool period and related to the planning of music education. We focused on musical activities. We paid special attention to the musical activity of creation. In the end, we presented the musical activity of creating in music and creating with music. We have also defined the methods of music creation. In the research in which preschool teachers were involved, we determined the views of the preschool teachers on the frequency of inclusion of musical creative activity in educational work, differences between age periods regarding the representation of musical creative activity, and researched which type of musical creation is included in educational work (creating with music, creating in music) more often. The sample included 77 preschool teachers from Domžale kindergarten, Kamnik kindergarten, Medo kindergarten, Trzin kindergarten, and Znajček kindergarten.
We found out that the musical activity of creation is less involved in educational work than the musical activity of performance and the musical activity of listening. The results showed that the musical activity of creation as a spontaneous activity is more often included in educational work than a planned activity. Based on the results, we found that there is no difference between the age groups regarding the frequency of performing the musical activity of creation. We also found that the musical activity of creating with music is more common than creating in music.
