Abstract
Enoznačnega odgovora glede sprememb telesne dejavnosti in telesne mase kljub dobri tehnologiji in meritvam ni mogoče podati. Vprašanja o spremembi telesne mase in telesne dejavnosti pri nosečnicah z debelostjo ostajajo.

Title:The role of physical activity in pregnant women with obesity : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: During pregnancy, women experience many physical and psychological changes because they want to ensure the most optimal conditions for the child's development. During pregnancy, it is necessary to take into account the anatomical and physiological changes that occur. Among them, weight gain and a change in the frequency of physical activity are particularly common changes. When regular physical activity is accompanied by appropriate nutrition in pregnant women, this protects them from obesity and thus weight gain is more controlled. In addition, with regular physical activity pregnant women maintain physical fitness, improve posture, balance, coordination, reduce the risk of falls and injuries, lower diastolic blood pressure, improve the neurological and physical development of the fetus and the growth of the placenta. Purpose: The purpose of the thesis is to investigate the role of physical activity in pregnant women with obesity, based on a review of professional and scientific literature. In addition, we want to find out which of the forms of physical activity reduces the possibility of obesity in pregnant women. Methods: The search for professional and scientific literature was carried out with the help of online databases PubMed and PEDro. The inclusion criteria for the selected researches were Slovenian or English language; randomized controlled trials; research involving obese pregnant women; research that involved physical activity; appropriate content in terms of title and abstract, and access to the full text enabled. Results: 6 studies were included in the literature review. Research results show that there are changes in physical activity and diet in pregnant women with increased body weight, but the results differ between the included studies. Various measuring tools were used, such as: pedometer, treadmill, watch for measuring steps (StepWatch␢ Activity Monitor) and accelerometer. Discussion and conclusion: Despite the small number of relevant studies on the role of physical activity in pregnant women with obesity and many limitations in the comparison of the selected studies, the results of the literature review show that there are changes in physical activity and body weight. Despite good technology and measurements, it is not possible to give an unequivocal answer regarding changes in physical activity and body weight. Questions about changes in body weight and physical activity in pregnant women with obesity remain.
