My thesis focuses on the former Javor factory, whose bankruptcy has left behind abandoned industrial halls, which prevent the city from expanding southwards. The project deals with the reflection on a series of new programs and their integration into the existing structures of the area.
I locate a swimming pool complex with all its associated units into an existing industrial hall. To fully revitalize the zone, I plan an intergenerational center, which is intended for the transmission of knowledge and traditions between the young and the elderly, and which, at the same time, represents a place where particularly young people can socialize and spend quality leisure time. I dedicate a part of it to the town promenade leading to the market with local produce.
In the building, I mostly keep the existing structure. However, I do add new construction, with which I insert a concentrated program that feeds the voids that have been created.
