The purpose of diploma thesis was to make ecological packaging for a toothpaste and toothbrush. We wanted packaging to be recyclable, ecological and visually appealing. While making fiber can packaging we received help from company Aki Izlake d.o.o.. They gave us all materials needed for making a rigid multi-ply paperboard container. We made textile packaging at home from textile material bought at the textile shop. All packaging materials were tested for technological properties. The basic, surface, structural, mechanical and optical characteristics of packaging materials were determined. After receiving material characteristics, we made plan for both packaging in computer program Adobe Illustrator. While making design for the paperboard container we worked together with company Aki Izlake d.o.o. because fiber can packaging had to fit their machines. When we finished the container design, we finalized visual image and we wanted it to be minimalistic and modern at the same time. We printed and cut the cardboard and then company Aki Izlake d.o.o. made our packaging into final form. Then we made the textile packaging at home, and added printed label with visual image we made for it. The most important task of these two packaging is to serve its purpose, are recyclable, ecological and can be used long-term for storing and transportation also of other products.
