The aim of the master thesis is to research the lifestyle and satisfaction of employees at the Public Institute Šport Ljubljana, which deals with the maintenance of sports facilities and the promotion of sport. Their lifestyle and the amount of physical activity were researched and compared to their satisfaction. The questionnaire, available on the 1KA website, was sent out to all employees of the Public Institute Šport Ljubljana. They were given a period of time between 7 March 2022 and 6 June 2022 to fill it in. The results of the online questionnaire were analysed using SPSS 21 (SPSS Inc., (SPSS Inc., Armonk, New York, ZDA). Statistical analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney Rank Test, Kruskall-Wallis Rank Test and Fisher's Exact Test. 71 employees (out of 122) participated in the survey, with an average of 44.7 years of age. The results show that the majority (60%) of the employees do sports at least twice a week. They exercise between 30 to 60 minutes on average (57%). Walking, cycling, fitness, hill walking and jogging are the most frequent form of their physical activity. Usually they do it outdoors in the natural green environments. No gender differences in physical activity have been found, although in other surveys a difference has been reported. 60% of the employees spend more than half of their time at work sitting. The fact that the Public Institute Šport Ljubljana is considered one of the main promoters of sport in the municipality of Ljubljana has an impact on employees too. More than half (56%) of the respondents state that their participation in sports has increased. The majority of employees are satisfied with their family life, work and their healthy lifestyle. Most employees would like improvements regarding their personal income, promotion of health in the workplace and social activities (teambuilding). It has been found that the level of physical activity does not influence the level of workplace satisfaction of the employees at the Public Institute Šport Ljubljana, but it does have an impact on the satisfaction with their family life.
