The master's thesis presents how to calculate the electricity consumption of lighting in a building according to standard EN 15193. The calculations are shown to the extent that, with the help of the values of the various variables in the tables in the standards and the tracking of the equations described, the LENI index can be accessed, which is an indicator of the energy efficiency of lighting in buildings. All three calculation methods from the standards are presented, namely the comprehensive method, the quick calculation method and the direct metering method. The task also explains in more detail the calculations of individual factors that affect the value of the LENI index. The master's thesis also describes the second method of determining the energy efficiency of the lighting system by the expenditure factor and the difference between the accuracy and usefulness of the methods themselves. In the second part, all the methods of calculating and determining energy efficiency are shown in the true case of an existing commercial facility.
