The master's thesis represents part of the development process of the vertical kinematics of the socket cover for charging electric cars. It is necessary to develop an assembly that closes the location where the electric car charging socket is located. The developed assembly must represent a technically feasible concept that meets the customer's requirements, and at the same time, parts of assembly must be technologically feasible for the injection molding method of thermoplastics, or a combination of thermoplastics, thermoplastic elastomers and metal. By following the client's requirements, we focus on the development of the kinematics of the socket cover. By reviewing existing solutions on the market and the with the black box method, we obtain a set of solutions, among which we select the most suitable one by evaluating it according to VDI 2225. The part is designed to the extent that it meets the client's requirements in terms of kinematics and the selection of a mechanical drive. We check the load requirements with the help of FEM analysis.
