This thesis focuses on the investigation and detailed description of concepts to save air and improve the efficiency of industrial pneumatic systems, with a focus on exhaust air reuse. The first part of the thesis presents the theoretical basics of tyres, with a focus on air loss, and how to analyse performance in tyre systems. Ways to improve efficiency are presented and existing solutions for air reuse are analysed and compared with each other. Finally, the results of the research and the findings of the analysis of existing exhaust air reuse solutions are presented, which will be useful for new ideas for pneumatic systems. Such systems will be able to outperform today's pneumatic systems, while maintaining functionality and complying with operating conditions.
