The final thesis deals with a pressurised water nuclear power plant based on the same operating principle as the Krško nuclear power plant. The nuclear system was converted
from theory to a computational model in the IPSEpro software tool. The analysis looked at the speed conditions in the high-pressure turbine and examined how the pressure drop of
the fresh steam coming from the evaporator affects the speed conditions of the first turbine stage of the high-pressure steam turbine. Using the analytically determined first turbine stage velocity triangles at the initial pressure, the velocity triangles at the changed pressure were compared. We have found that as the pressure drops, the exit velocity of the steam from the turbine decreases and the angles of the velocity vectors change, which can have a
negative impact on the efficiency of the steam turbine itself and thus on the efficiency of the nuclear power plant.
