Perovskite is a yellow, brown, or black mineral with the chemical formula CaTiO3. The general perovskite structure formula is ABM3. Perovskites are attractive compounds for a variety of applications because they exhibit interesting physical and chemical properties such as electronic conductivity, electrically active structure, the oxide ions mobility through the crystal lattice, thermal and chemical stability, and magnetic, multiferroic and thermoelectric properties. Some perovskite materials are very promising candidates for improving the efficiency of anode catalysts, some have shown excellent absorption properties for photovoltaic solar cells, and others can be used for electrochemical sensing of alcohols, glucose, gases … Recently, inorganic-organic perovskite materials have attracted substantial interest due to their chemical variability, structural diversity, and outstanding physical properties. Current research is focused on different methods for determining the properties of perovskites and their related applications.
