Abstract

Title:Power light emmitting diode controller system
Abstract:
The diploma thesis was developed due to the practical need for a printed circuit able to control power light-emitting diodes. These are LED panels built as a matrix of light-emitting diodes, intended for outdoor lighting and will be used for ambient lighting of the boats. The final printed circuit board must be adapted to the requirements of the housing. The research first presents different ways of controlling the LED and choosing the appropriate one for the defined application. In the following, practical ways to calculate the parameters of the circuit are presented together with the belonging calculations for the described case. A circuit board prototype was made, and the study presents the prototype circuit's basic measurements together with the calculations' evaluation. During the testing of the model circuit, the parasitic phenomena of the switching circuits come to the fore, which is described in the study. Based on the conclusions, the final printed circuit board was designed. At the end of the research, the communication flows of the system and the control algorithm are presented. The result of the diploma is a prototype circuit for controlling power light-emitting diodes, the supply current of which responds to the temperature of the heatsink and the set brightness. With the help of design approaches to reduce the parasitic phenomena of switching circuits, we also design the final circuit board, which allows better measurement accuracy and stability. We conclude the research with the algorithm for controlling the system together with the selection of the appropriate parameters for the PID controller.
