The number of publications in the field of exergy, which represents a measure for energy quality and was introduced by Professor Zoran Rant, is rising significantly over the past decades. In this thesis, we focused on energy analysis of psychrometric processes with humid air. Based on literature review, we show the possibility of using exergy-based environmental indicators. Using exergy diagrams, we analyzed basic psychrometric processes including heating, cooling, mixing and dehumidification. For these processes, we showcased how the exergy of humid air changes based on the state of the surroundings. We showed that the state of the surroundings can crucially influence the exergy analysis of the considered psychrometric processes.
