Impedance spectroscopy is a method for studying electrochemical systems. Impedance can be calculated through electrical circuits, where we describe processes in the electrochemical system with appropriate combination of resistors and capacitors. Modeling of impedance response is possible with the Python program package, where it is possible to simulate impedance with transmission line model. In this particular case, we describe a system with a mesh with an optional number of divisions.
In this work, procedures of writing a program are presented and their results compared with those obtained with ZView2. It was shown that with high enough number of divisions of the mesh, comparable results are obtained. A program for impedance response of porous electrode has been written as well. The obtained plot has matched well with equations that were set for predicting a response of a similar system.
