In engineering, we use various methods of power transmission, one of which is hydraulics.
Hydraulic power can be converted into a mechanical translator with hydraulic cylinders or
into a rotary motion with rotary units and hydraulic motors. These are quite compact in terms
of the ratio between mass and transmitted power. This means that a high tension occurs on
a small volume. Due to the tension and the movement of the parts, a high level of wear can
occur over time or with improper use. For effective use in systems, it is necessary to know
the characteristics of used and new hydraulic motors.
In the thesis the most important representatives of hydraulic motors and the standard
according to which they are tested are presented. The set-up of a test bench is presented, a
risk assessment and a cost analysis of production are made
