In my graduation thesis, I addressed the relationship between teamwork performance and various factors such as relationships, conflicts, communication, rewarding and motivation. I am researching success of teamwork at the Center for Social Work Spodnje Podravje, Ptuj unit. In the theoretical introduction, I first described how social work centers work and how are the fields of work divided. Then, I focused on teamwork, what teamwork is, how teams are formed, what characteristics apply to a team, what are the indicators of teamwork performance, and mentioned various factors that can potentially affect teamwork performance. Finally, I described teamwork in social work. The aim of the research was to determine how various factors are related to the performance of teamwork and to use the results to make suggestions for improving the performance of teamwork. I used qualitative research and used partially structured interviews with six professional workers at the Center for Social Work Spodnje Podravje, Ptuj unit to obtain data. The measurement instrument I used was an interview guide, in which I focused on the topics of my research and assigned questions and sub-questions to each. I qualitatively analyzed the obtained data and presented the results. I have found that good relationships, good communication, constructive conflict resolution, and rewarding affect teamwork and its success in a positive way. Eventually, I made suggestions for improving the performance of teamwork in social care or social work centers.
