This BA thesis deal with terminology in Valentin Vodnik’s Kuharske bukve (»Cook books«). In the theoretical part, it first presents Valentin Vodnik and Kuharske bukve, the first book of recipes in the Slovene language. It then defines terminology and the basic principles of terminology, differentiating between a technical and scientific term. This is followed by the empirical part, containing an analysis of terms in the chosen work and a stylistic analysis of one of the recipes.
