By reviewing the methods described in the diploma thesis, their complexity and scope are visible. Recycling begins with the separation into groups defined in the directives, followed by the dismantling of equipment and the characterization of components and materials, setting out further treatment procedures.
The main components of all electrical and electronic equipment are motherboards, which are present in all computers, mobile phones, television and computer screens. Their composition is very diverse and contains both organic and inorganic substances.
For a more detailed analysis, the waste powder of the motherboards was used, from which two dust samples and six characteristic particles present in the powder were selected. The results of the analysis performed on a ThermoFischer Quattro S electron scanning microscope are also presented.
