The purpose of the master's thesis was to create a women's collection based on the Japanese arts of shibari and ikebana. The thesis includes designing the Človeška ikebana collection from the starting point to the execution.
The theoretical part of the master's thesis describes in detail the Japanese arts of shibari and ikebana, their history, development through history and artistic foundations. Presented is Fabio da Motta, a photographer and artist who combines ikebana and shibari through his work. His artwork was the initial reason for the creation of the "Človeška ikebana" collection.
Included are presentations of fashion collections from designers who were also inspired by shibari and ikebana.
The experimental part of the thesis includes the development of the Človeška ikebana collection. This includes a description of the concept of design of the collection with its origin, materials, color palette, patterns, target group, the development of the collection, sketches and technical sketches of individual pieces of clothing. Realized pieces of clothing of the collection are also shown through photographs.
The final result of the master's thesis is the women's ready to wear collection Človeška ikebana.
