Online presence is essential in today’s world. Consumers and companies communicate online in a much more direct manner. Based on their own experiences, users form an opinion of the brand and the company. This is why the online brand personality must be well-designed and consistent to communicate a coherent message, get positive feedback from users and attract as many new clients as possible.
The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis was to create an online identity for Lettim Studio l.l., define the company’s target clients, develop a consistent content strategy for their website, design informational architecture and wire models as well as to create a prototype for the Lettim Studio l.l. website. The company’s activities include graphic design, market communication and marketing. They provide wholesome support and printing services for their clients. Up until now, the company did not have an online presence, which made it practically impossible for them to become recognizable beyond their existing circle of clients.
In this bachelor’s thesis, we showed in detail the individual research, planning and design steps that are essential for a successful online presentation of a company. We described the whole work process from the first interview with the head of the company to the deployment of the website. The first research step was data collection and the analysis of the company. We defined the target group, designed users’ profiles and discovered the main needs of the users. We defined and designed the content that the potential clients need as well as added content the company wishes to present on top of that. During our work process, we carried out several structured interviews with the head of the company who was present at every work phase to comment and propose improvements. For the website’s prototype, we used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop software as well as the Figma app. We designed the informational architecture of the website, the wire frame of the individual websites, three style proposals as well as the final style proposal. We designed the interactions and built the prototype for the website on the Figma platform. This is also where we tested the user experience with eight users by using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). We analyzed the obtained data in the Excel program. Based on the obtained test results, we concluded that the designed prototype of the website for Lettim Studio l.l. is efficient and no major changes are needed. However, there is always room for improvement. To improve the stimulating effect, we have added moving images in gif format to the landing page of the website. We have defined the responsiveness of all elements based on the size of the screen and simulated the display also on mobile and tablet devices.
