The final thesis contains the analysis of different simulations of the forming of an aluminium product mounted on the bonnet of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class. First, the theoretical basics of sheet metal forming are presented, as well as the basics needed to understand the numerical modelling. The results of the simulations themselves, which are carried out in the Autoform R7 software package, are also presented, as well as comparisons between them and an analysis of how changing certain parameters in the computer simulation affects the accuracy and speed of the computer simulation of the sheet metal forming.
