Cooperation is important when designing an educational process. Especially important is the collaboration with teachers and the schools counseling service. The research project refers to the cooperation of the schools counseling service and teachers. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the school counseling service and its main tasks are presented, and in the continuation it's connected with the profession of social pedagogy. The importance of working with teachers is emphasized, as well as what opportunities for cooperation they have and where obstacles may occur. In the empirical part, I was interested in how the partnership is perceived by school counselors. I researched how often and in what ways they work together as well as what kind of obstacles they face when working together. A quantitative research approach was used to find the answers to the research questions. 80 school counselors were included in the survey. With the findings I came to with the concluded research, I contributed to the profession of social pedagogy and counseling work in primary schools. I found out, where school counselors see barriers in collaboration as well as where change can be made.
