Introduction: Today, people are less and less confident about their appearance and smile. They look for various solutions, such as plastic surgery, body tattooing, various dental corrections, to fix and cover up parts they do not like, to follow the fashion trends and to stand out in society. Various tattoos and piercings can cause allergic reactions, inflammation, and pain. Therefore, today, more and more people opt for dental corrections such as porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, and adding dental jewelry to achieve an aesthetic and attractive smile. That expresses greater self-confidence in patients. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to present what dental jewelry is, what consequences can be expected from different dental jewelry, what types of dental jewelry we know, what materials are used to make dental jewelry, and how dental jewelry is made using CAD/CAM. Above all, the goal is to introduce individuals to dental jewelry called “Grillz”. Methods: In the bachelor’s thesis, we used a descriptive method of work, a review of the existing literature in the field of dental jewelry, and CAD/CAM. We researched both foreign and domestic literature and professional articles and books in the time frame from 2005 to 2020. We used the online databases Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, PubMed, JPD, JADA, ResarchGate. We used keywords, such as dental jewelry, grillz, teeth jewelry, dental materials and CAD/CAM. The practical part was performed in a dental laboratory where we used professional literature for help and followed the instructions of the manufacturers. Results: To make our product, it was necessary to use a dental laboratory, where we made dental jewelry called grillz on a patient, using computer-aided technology. Discussion and conclusion: Grillz are decorative covers often made of gold, silver, or jewel-encrusted precious metals. Generally, they are removable but some have had their teeth altered to permanently resemble a grill. The product can be made using CAD/CAM technology, which is a significantly faster and simpler process than a product that is handmade in the laboratory without the help of newer technology. This technology requires certain knowledge and understanding of the technician to get the desired product.
