The subject of the bachelor thesis is environmental ethics, which was developed at the frankfurt school or critical theory. We will present the theoretical frameworks within which the idea of the relationship between nature and society was formed, with special emphasis on the practical dimensions and emancipatory power of solutions, as suggested by thinkers of critical theory. We will focus on the works of Theodor W. Adorno, Max Horkheimer, and Herbert Marcuse, all of whom originate from the tradition of Western Marxist theory. We will emphasize the role of philosophy and show the power of philosophical discourse in relation to society and politics.
