With its analytical design approach, this work addresses problems in teaching environmental education, which are the basis for the development of a designer product – didactic children’s board game. Through researching the context, which includes the field of environmental education, the future user of the product and the design of didactic materials for children, the work moves on to the analysis of environmental education teaching in Slovenian kindergartens and a research of existing materials on this topic.
In response to the given information, I developed, designed and tested a didactic board game that communicates to young users the importance of environmental protection and waste separation / recycling.
The purpose of the diploma is to acquaint the younger generations about the environmental problems of today through play.
