The aim of this thesis is to present the issue of gender, more precisely the binary sistem of gender and it's effects and it particulary highlights the consturct and representation of the female gender. I have thus included interpretative – analytical and comparative literary analysis of female characters conducted on five novels by Vitomil Zupan, focusing on researching how in the novels are present objectification, stereotipization, clicheization and sexualization of female characters in comparison to male characters.
