V diplomski nalogi z naslovom Suha roba sem raziskovala tradicionalne suhorobarske izdelke in delo starih Ribniških rokodelcev. Zanimala sta me predvsem videz in uporabnost tipičnih izdelkov, ter rokodelske tehnike izdelave le teh. Poglobila sem se v zgodovino suhorobarske stroke in preskok iz rokodelske na industrijsko proizvodnjo. Raziskala sem trenutno stanje v suhorobarskih proizvodnjah, pregledala njihovo aktualno ponudbo ter jo primerjala z ponudbo na svetovnem trgu. Z oblikovanjem končnega produkta sem skušala ohranjati močen tradicionalen rokodelski videz in stremeti h trenutnim trendom in zahtevam na trgu.

Izvleček

In my diploma thesis, titled Woodenware I researched traditional woodenware products and the work of old Ribnica craftsmen. I was particularly interested in the appearance and usefulness of typical products, as well as the craftsmanship of making them. I delved into the history of the woodenware profession and the leap from handicraft to industrial production. I researched the current situation in the field of woodenware products, reviewed their current offer and compared it with the offer on the world market. By designing the final product, I tried to maintain a strong traditional craftsmanship look and to keep up with current trends and market demands.
