Abstract
V diplomskem delu je predstavljen postopek optimizacije pretočnega predvajanja vsesmernega videa, na podlagi smeri pogleda, na način deljenja izvornega videa na ploščice ali tile ter kodiranja posameznih ploščic v različne kvalitete. Opredeljen je pojem pasovna širina, ki je bistvo same optimizacije. Predstavljena je zgodovina pretočnega predvajanja ter zgodovina vsesmernega videa. V teoretičnem delu so opisane nekatere tehnike stiskanja podatkov, ki se uporabljajo pri optimizaciji pasovne širine. Predstavljen je tudi zajem vsesmernih video posnetkov. V praktičnem delu je razložena obdelava vsesmernega, pretočno predvajanega video posnetka na strežniku. V zaključku so predstavljene ugotovitve in možnosti izboljšav.

Title:Optimization of recording and streaming of omnidirectional video considering the field of view : univerzitetni študijski program prve stopnje Multimedija
Abstract:
The thesis presents the process of optimizing the streaming of omnidirectional video, based on viewport, with the method of dividing original video into tiles and encoding each tile into different qualities. The concept of bandwidth is defined, which is the essence of optimization itself. The history of omnidirectional video are presented. The theoretical part describes some data compression techniques, used in bandwidth optimization, and presents capturing omnidirectional videos. The practical part explains the processing of omnidirectional video streaming on the server. In conclusion, the findings and possibilities for improvement are presented.
