Abstract
V diplomskem delu je predstavljena realizacija sistema za določanje položaja in sledenje osebam v zaprtih prostorih v realnem času. Termovizijski sistem za sledenje je izdelan s pomočjo mikroračunalnika Raspberry Pi, programske opreme v jeziku Python, aplikacijskih programskih vmesnikov gibljivih kamer in termovizijske kamere. V delu so opisani obstoječi konkurenčni izdelki na trgu, njihove značilnosti, načini uporabe, prednosti in slabosti. Za razvoj strojne opreme in izbiro končne platforme je bilo analiziranih in obravnavanih veliko podobnih rešitev iz sveta ustvarjalcev »naredi si sam«, ki rešitve ustvarjajo sami. V nadaljevanju je bila izvedena testna postavitev za preizkus sistema v laboratoriju za multimedijo (LMMFE), s čimer sta bili demonstrirani praktična uporaba in zanesljivost sistema. Cilj diplomskega dela je bil razviti sistem za določanje položaja in sledenje oseb, ki bo uporabnikom nudil zanesljivost, natančnost in predvsem enostavno uporabniško izkušnjo. Prav tako je bil cilj naloge prilagoditev sistema za glavne scenarije uporabe v izobraževalnem procesu in omogočiti uporabo z različnimi gibljivimi kamerami. Med razvojem se je pojavilo nekaj težav, ki so bile sproti odpravljene, prav tako se je pojavilo še nekaj idej za nadaljnje delo, ki bodo sistemu dodane v prihodnosti.

Title:Lecturer camera tracking using a thermal imaging camera : univerzitetni študijski program prve stopnje Multimedija
Abstract:
This diploma thesis addresses the conception and development of a real-time indoor positioning and tracking system for locating presenters while providing its users with reliability, accuracy, and above all, a simple user experience. The thermal tracking system operates on a Raspberry Pi microcomputer and an MLX90640 thermal camera system, controlled by Python software and PTZ camera APIs. The paper describes existing competitive products on the market, including their characteristics, uses, benefits, and limitations. Many similar solutions from the DIY community were also investigated and considered for hardware development and end platform selection. Subsequently, a test setup was constructed in the LMMFE laboratory to assess the system capabilities, demonstrating the practical applicability and reliability of the system. Throughout the system development process, optimizations were performed to cater to the main education applications, such as presenter tracking during movement and writing on the board. System assessment also brought forth ideas for further work that could be added to the system in the future.
