The purpose of the diploma thesis was to design a corporate identity that will represent brand Velenje Underground and its vision furthermore it will help to improve its uniformity and recognition on the market, since the brand does not have one at the moment, therefore it is not able to be presented in the best way possible.
Corporate identity is one of the key elements of successful companies and includes all the important components e.g. logo, its use, typography, colours and applications on different types of promotion materials. The aforementioned were researched in the theoretical part of the diploma thesis.
In the experimental part, the authors firstly made a research about the brand Velenje Underground which is the name of exclusive culinary events taking place in the Coal mining museum of Slovenia in Velenje. Secondly, the target groups were identified due to focus on their specific needs and interests. Moreover, the analyse of the competing brands was made to find good examples to look up after.
According to research the authors designed a corporate identity including logotype, selected colours, typography, posters, billboards, invitation, menu and application on the napkin. Results were presented to the clients and according to that they have made a subjective evaluation through an interview and discussion. Considering the given opinion, the authors came to the final results of the diploma thesis that were collected in the corporate identity manual.
