In this master's thesis, we addressed the optimisation of a die cooling system for high-pressure casting of aluminium. With the help of numerical simulations in the MAGMASOFT software package, we want to improve tempering of a high-pressure die casting tool. For this purpose, we developed a theoretical model, on the basis of which we tried to determine the most suitable layout of cooling bores. The results focused on the homogeneity of the temperature field, the temperature of the piece and the surface of the engraving. To confirm the hypothesis set at the beginning of the study, we finally compared the simulation with an improved cooling system and a cooling system with a serial tool. Through simulations of temperature field of the simplified tool, the improved cooling system was determined by altering the distance of the cooling ducts and their distance from the surface.
