In the thesis, the development and design of a rotor for an electronically commutated motor
are presented. At designing the rotor, it was necessary to ensure the required electrical and
mechanical properties. Based on requirements and evaluations of different designs, the most
suitable concept was chosen. The concept was checked later with FEM analysis. We also
made a comparison of the costs of the new design compared to the existing one. After that,
a prototype was produced to validate electrical properties and to compare them with the
existing design.
