Key personnel is crucial for the successful performance of organizations and the achievement of organizational goals. The management of the organization must be aware of this and strive to retain key personnel, as otherwise, the organization faces a loss of silent knowledge and huge costs. Organizations must make every effort to maintain motivated and satisfied key personnel, provide them with promotion opportunities, additional training and education. If key personnel become unhappy, they will look to leave the organization, especially as lifelong employment is no longer the trend. In my bachelor's thesis, I will present what influences the motivation and satisfaction of employees in the workplace and how to improve it. Using a survey as a method, I studied which factors influence the motivation and satisfaction of key personnel in company X. With an interview, I obtained answers on how the management of the organization strives to achieve motivation and satisfaction among its employees, as well as retention of key personnel. I also asked for strategies the management already has in place to retain key personnel.
