The company faces a problem in assembling ceiling kitchen lights, which are designed as a linear construction element of the ceiling. The main problem is the sealing between the glass and the lightning case under external loads, such as manual wiping. Then, due to the bending of the glass, a gap is created between the seal and the glass, consequently water vapor can enter the interior of the lamp. To solve the problem, we used the morphological matrix to select the most appropriate support option to eliminate glass displacements. Using strain stress analysis of the geometrical-numerical model, we performed geometrical optimisation of the sealing, assuming that we do not press on the glass with both hands at the same time. We analyzed the strain stress state for different load cases on two of the most commonly used glass lengths. The results of the analysis show that the choice of the support element significantly affects the tightness of the lamp. By optimizing the process, we can also significantly shorten the assembly time.
