This study aims to develop a device for mounting pistons on an air spring bellows. Firstly, two basic concepts were made and the more suitable was chosen with critical evaluation. Latter is additionally explicated and graphically illustrated. Additionally, sliding and ball spindles are compared, considering their efficiency of converting rotation movement to linear movement depending on friction mechanisms. Ball spindle is chosen as more appropriate, because of its energy efficiency. Energy loss of ball spindle is half lower compared to sliding spindle. Lastly, all machine elements of the chosen concept are selected and additionally examined. These are keyed joints, chain transmission system, bearings, shafts and servomotor.
