Abstract
Glavne ugotovitve magistrskega dela so pomanjkanje ozaveščenosti in ignoranca javnosti.

Title:ISSUES OF CHILD LABOUR AND EMPLOYING THE YOUTH IN CONTEMPORARY WORLD
Abstract:
The main purpose of the thesis is to inform the general public about the issues of child labour which are so much more interesting because the topic is less researched in Slovenia and the public is closing its eyes to the truth. The difference between developed world and the undeveloped world is obvious. While in developed world child labour isn't that much of a problem, the undeveloped world shows that this problem exist. Almost every big company has black shadow in it, and it shows trough child labour. A major contribution to child labor in less developed world is the poverty of parents, who send their children to work to support their families. To reach our goal we used both methods, historic and descriptive method. The purpose of the thesis is to create a clearer picture about the issue for the reader – the legislation in Slovenia and elsewhere, organisations’ priorities concerning child labour, an individual’s role in eliminating child labour. It is also of great importance to distinguish between child labour and chores. The main findings of the master’s thesis are the lack of public awareness and ignorance. Key solutions that could bring the existing problem closer to the public are also presented in the thesis. One of the solutions suggests extension of labour inspections and their specialisation in child labour.
