The master’s thesis deals with the use of social work in work organizations – how a social worker with his knowledge and experience can contribute to a better company, better interpersonal relationships, better participation of all employees and greater overall business success. It also discusses good human resources practices for the satisfaction of employees in Slovenian and foreign companies. More specifically it discusses the position of Chief Happiness Officer. Through theoretical work I researched the impact of today on relationships in the business world, the impact of stress or burnout and ways to deal with them. Which organizations are good ones and what kind of an employee is a satisfied employee. What can the company offer to its employees on a daily basis for greater satisfaction in the work environment and what are the trends in the use of such personnel practices in the Slovenian environment. By researching the position of a Chief Happiness Officer in Slovenia, I first wanted to present this position to readers, show its purpose in the company and inspire the general public to open this position as often as possible in all Slovenian companies.
