In my master's work I traced new expressive methods in graphic art and how to introduce them in lessons of fine arts. I am interested in textile printing as an alternative graphic media, where the traditional graphic sheet transforms into an alternative piece. My work includes theoretical and empirical elements; the latter is divided into the practical author's element and the pedagogical research element. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics and concepts connected with the old and new graphic paradigm. Art often uses new methods of creation nowadays and this is true for graphics as well. In art printmaking we most often encounter the traditional and manual processing procedure, where we use specific materials and accessories. Some artists, influenced by the contemporary art practice, reach for different ways of expression, new materials and alternative approaches. On the basis of both paradigms, two new names of graphic art have appeared: printmaking of the core and printmaking of the expanded field. In the practical element I represented my own artwork, where I used new materials and accessories. I showed the transition from the printmaking of the core field to the printmaking of the expanded field. I changed the traditional graphic sheet to the piece of clothing on which I printed. With this, I want to find out what the possibilities are of the contemporary means and if they are suitable for art teaching lessons. I analysed my artwork and presented the selected components of the paradigms. I also carried out the pilot research in my pedagogical research work, where I included some alternative methods of creation. The research is based on experimenting, it is carried out in the form of art experimentation. I was interested in how to present pupils with printmaking of the core and expanded fields, together with how the new approaches influence their motivation and understanding of the new topic. I wanted to show that we can teach with new, unusual approaches which are still simple and not complicated. Even a simple change of the graphic sheet with the new media can lead to a completely new interpretation of the artwork.
