The main objective of the master research work has been to analyse selected cadastral procedures and contents of surveying services in Croatia and compare them with the practice in Slovenia. In the master's thesis, the system of land administration in Croatia and the legislation related to the registration of land plots and buildings in the land cadastre and land registry are presented. We have analysed and presented surveying documentation, which describes the procedures for preparing surveying documentation for recording or changing data on land plots and buildings. The components of the surveying documentation are described, as well as the method of its preparation and the administrative procedures for reviewing and approving the documentation at the surveying authority. Special attention is devoted to the analysis and presentation of legalisation procedures for illegally constructed buildings and the method of their registration in the land cadastre and land registry. In the concluding part, we compared the selected cadastral procedures within the land administration system in Croatia with the solutions in Slovenia and highlighted the advantages and disadvantages.
