Despite the absence of a tourist tradition, the Seasonal Lakes of Pivka Landscape Park has good prospects for further tourism development. The purposes of the master's thesis were to examine the possibilities for further tourism development of the Seasonal Lakes of Pivka Landscape Park and preparation of descriptions and assessments of natural and social characteristics and cultural heritage features in the landscape park that could be used to prepare a future management plan. Based on the answers given in the interviews by employees in tourist activities and representatives of associations, it can be concluded that most of the interviewees are in favor of gradual tourism development, where more attention could be paid to transforming the researched area from a transit to a destination area and focusing on the formation of target groups of visitors. Hiking, cycling and a specialized culinary offer should be upgraded as well. There are also insufficient accommodation options for larger groups of visitors and an insufficient tourism offer for when tourists are not visiting natural areas. The natural, social and cultural landscape features were described and assessed. Inadequate management could have a negative impact on the delicate karst surface. The analysis of the factors influencing various aspects of tourism development has shown that most of the advantages of the researched area pertain to natural and cultural landscape, fauna, nature conservation and the locals' inclination to tourism.
