The thesis presents the use of the time series of satellite images Sentinel-5P for monitoring air pollution with nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in Central Europe in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic (between January and June 2020). The process of obtaining, using and interpreting Sentinel-5P data with the Jupyter Notebook software tool is presented. The results of the graduation thesis are given in the form of maps of the average weekly values of the detected amount of NO2, for the area of Central Europe and especially for the area of Slovenia. All results show the same trends the amount of NO2 pollution during the implementation of
"anticorona" measures in the area is gradually declining everywhere.
