In theoretical part of master’s thesis, the concepts are defined: story, narration, imagination and neural response. There are also presented Storytelling through history, storytelling development, and criteria for evaluating stories. In empirical part of master’s thesis are presented and analyzed the results of observing children's play before storytelling, children's storytelling and children's play after storytelling. In master’s thesis is used qualitative research approach. In the study were included preschool children aged from 3 to 6 years.
In master's thesis, I tried to find out whether children in the preschool period are able to form and tell a story that provokes a neuronal response in peers. Namely, it is a process that happens in the listener's brain and affects later on his behavior or response. Typically, storytelling that provoke a neural response is in adulthood used for marketing.
