The diploma thesis describes a system of smart installation in a house. In addition to the theoretical background, it also describes an example of developing my own application with industrial components. The purpose of the diploma thesis is to present to the reader some tips in case of making his own smart installation.
Based on the customer's requirements and the basic requirements of the smart installation, I start by designing the electrical scheme. We have to choose the control system and the elements that correspond to it. In my case, I chose a Siemens PLC. I wrote the program in a structured controle language (SCL) in the TIA Portal programming environment. I designed the electrical scheme in the WSCAD software environment.
The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part, I present the theoretical background of smart installations, where I touch on the most commonly used systems and protocols. Next, I write a few words on the presentation of smart devices and finally, I make a comparison and select the most appropriate control system.
In the second part, I focus on the presentation of the application development for smart installations. First I start with the presentation of the used software. I then present the design of the electrical scheme and present the requirements of the client for consumer control. Finally, I show the differences between the color and the black-and-white operator panels.
The result of the development is an autonomous devices control system. The system allows manual control as well as settings for automatic use. It enables switching on devices according to sunrise and sunset, setting daily and weekly schedules and manually switching on consumers with different timers.
