In my diploma thesis I will be researching comic book as a field of illustration, its origins and its history. I will be researching contemporary interpretations of classical literature and the approach authors took to update it. I will describe and analyze my approach to France Prešeren’s poem The Water Man, present the procedure of creating a comic book, designing the main characters and updating and interpreting poetry form to comic book dialog.
